I know, I know, I’ve missed two days of blogging. I’m not really sure anyone noticed, but just
in case, here I am again.
Can I be totally honest with you? I’m way past tired, I’m exhausted. It’s been one of those months and we’re just
getting started. Hubby started the month
off with a hospital stay and a health scare that took a good bit of wind out of
my sails - he’s doing much better now, praise the Lord. And his stay was followed up (the same day)
with a message from a sister friend to let me know she was grabbing a plane to
the Carolina’s after her mother was admitted to hospice. She has since lost her mother and we are all grieving
the loss of a “sun” in our midst. And if
that wasn’t enough, we are preparing for the homecoming of another soul that we
cherish and adore due to the ugliness of cancer.
It’s been a LOT. If you’ve lived more than five minutes on
this earth you have been through a storm or two. We all know that the valleys don’t last
forever, though they often feel as they do, as long as we keep walking and keep
our eyes on the mountain ahead. It will
require a climb to get to the top of the next mountain. Sometimes the hardest part of the journey is
simply remembering to take time to breathe.
A moment to be still in the knowing the He is in control.
