Give me death

Is there anything more frustrating on earth than taxes?  No.  Of course there isn’t.  I mean, really… (I’m trying VERY hard not to delve into a tirade about the theft that I truly believe taxation to be and the overreaching power of an out of control government.)  OK...well, a little rant at least, sorry about that. ;)

Today, for the first time in what seems like at least a complete year, it was over 45 degrees here in Pennsylvania and where was I?  Sitting at my desk, stuck in a room, staring at a computer screen and pouring over a calculator.   I feel like I’m being punished for bothering to work for a living!  I know I’m not the only one…

It’s been said that they only things certain in this life are death and taxes.  Well, give me death any day.  At least I know where I’ll be and it’s certainly better than trying to unravel the U.S. tax code.

The only silver lining I can find to this day is that I have a pot of chili on the stove (my Dad’s recipe) and a bottle of wine begging to be opened.   Off I go.
