Friday night Beth & I joked and played (yep, some night's it's just like that) at one of our favorite spots - The Comus Inn right outside of Frederick. (Btw, if you haven't checked this place out, you are missing out on a great spot.)
Saturday night was a full band gig. I haven't had one of those in a while so I was a little edgy about it, just wanting everything to go smoothly, and we had a KILLER time. I mean, we played and sang our tushies off and it felt GREAT! It's always a joy to work with great musicians and this group was top notch. Beth Trez on keys, Jesse Powers on bass, Jesse Moody on drums, and Gregory Thompkins on sax. If there is a name there you don't recognize I encourage you to check it out. Each one is a true artist and they have me psyched to do more band work in 2015, so I'll be working on that pretty hard I think. Yeah, it was that great of a night.
And THEN, as if the weekend could get any better - last night was our 3rd Annual KGJazz Fan Club Christmas party. I promise you, these are the greatest people on the planet! We had an amazing time and no one seemed to notice the dust bunnies or spider webs that this working woman didn't get around to taming in time for the party. We had food, we had wine, we had special "Christmas cheer" from Karla and Steve, but most of all we had time together, and that is the best gift ever.
Head over to www.facebook.com/kerensagray and check out the photos from the weekend, and if you haven't yet you might want to click "like" so you don't miss anything in the future. AND if you're wondering how to become a true blue Fan Club member just drop me an email and I'll give you the skinny so you never have to miss out on the fun.
Now, full speed ahead to Christmas and the New Year!
