Snow day

It’s a SNOW DAY!!  I love a good snow day.  I’m still waiting for one.  Yes, we've had snow … lots and lots of snow.  Well, at least it feels that way to me.  And yes, I did get a half a day off (no private torture sessions today- torture for them I mean ;)).  But I’m still looking for the BIG snow.  You know, the one you had when you were a kid, the one you still dream about today, the one that caused the entire world to shut down for 2 or 3 days.  Where the snow was over the porch and building a snowman was not even an option because you couldn’t walk more than 3 paces at time.  The one that included board games and cocoa and impromptu art stations and forts throughout the house in the attempt to keep everyone entertained.  THAT one.  All I know is that no matter how much snow we get my poor hubby still has to drive to work in snow and home in ice because that’s what grown folk do.  Maybe that’s the problem.  It’s not really the snow or lack thereof; I’m just tired of being a grown folk.  I know some of you are with me on this.  I think it’s time I call for a KID Day.  Not FOR kids – they get that everyday – but for we adults.  KID day shall include a visit to the arcade, ice cream (even if it is 5 below outside); a fun not so serious movie with piles of buttery popcorn in our pj’s lying all over the floor.  Oh, and probably some wine, because let’s face it, that’s the only real perk of being over 21 at this point.  ;)  Who’s with me????  I know you are.  Now, I shall go check my calendar and let you know when I can schedule KID Day, because alas, I am indeed, an adult.  

In the meantime, enjoy a little hot cocoa and the soft falling snow.
